Consistent, cheerful, the bearer of a new chance. Rising with the sun it somehow part of my wiring. Awake, clear, and productive I prefer silence, calm, and a bit of play. This deep joy is starting to run counter to an overwhelming developing interest in experiencing the world at night.
There exists no night owl. I am more likely to see darkness in the morning. But currently I must resist the sleep for an investigation of night. For the capture of light and glow. Truthfully, following out of my recent atmosphere and weather studies comes the underlying light effects. A condition that was always there. Though not at the forefront.
In Tokyo at least; I never once need a flash. Even an extended shutter lapse if often unnecessary. I find the city quite bright. And so by day the sky opens up and the spaces feel taller, though very tight. And by night, the ground feels lower and spaces feel more embracing.
I find myself returning to locations I passed hours previously at day just to catch a glimpse at night. I can’t catch it; physically or repeated in photo. But for now, in hopes not to be zapped, I fly towards it.
