Timing.
I am truly honored and energized to be the grand prize winner of this years SOM Fellowship! For those who have not already stumbled upon my really great news. SOM fellow.
This foundation has established a research and travel grant that allows me to continue on with my studies and to experience more of this world as I pursue my interests and dreams in the field of architecture. I haven’t even left for my trips yet, and already, this fellowship has allotted me opportunity to continue my research and pursuits, sending my imagination forward.
I have 2 trips planned…
1. solstice scouting trip: I leave on December 20th to celebrate the winter solstice high up in the arctic. On this trip I will be visiting the capital cities of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland as a scouting trip for where I want to land my self or research for trip #2. I will also venture up above the Arctic Circle to face some more extreme conditions.
2. atmospheres: starting mid-spring of 2007 I will be relocating to somewhere, and expanding my adventures to include Iceland and Greenland. To live and study along these lines.
