What began as a lifelong fascination with weather, in particular that of storms, has merged with my design tendencies resulting in a desire to amplify the variable conditions of a place as a different and energetic understanding of a site.
Typically considered a static given context, my most recent academic pursuits began challenging site conditions to push into the realm of the atmosphere. By concentrating on such factors as weather, suddenly the issues of temporality, intensity, patterns, and extremes emerge at the forefront of the discussion and life of a project.
So I am setting off to chase the storms. Or let them chase me.
